Making Hajj accessible
As Hajj is an essential pillar of Islam, we believe that this journey of a lifetime should be just as accessible to Deaf people.
In 2017, Al Isharah completed the first-ever Deaf friendly Hajj with the British Deaf community. We provided specialist workshops and seminars to prepare for this auspicious journey and provided interpreters and Deaf staff during. This ensured that this pillar of our faith was just as accessible to our Deaf brothers and sisters.
Our aspirations are to ensure that access to Hajj is made available to Deaf people periodically, so like everyone else, Deaf people can fulfil this aspect of their faith.
